Notice is hereby given that the Air Training Corps Association of New Zealand Inc. 2019 National Council AGM will be held at RNZAF Base Ohakea on the 18th of May commencing at 8.30am.

The following Special Resolution will be included in the agenda for the National Council AGM:
Special Resolution – Requiring 75% of those present and eligible to vote
To consider, and if thought fit, to pass the following resolution:
That the definition in the Constitution of a Branch of the Association which currently reads:
“Branch” means the Parent Support Committee established by the National Council to administer the needs of an ATC Squadron or unit.
Be amended to read:
“Branch” means the body appointed pursuant to this constitution to provide support to a designated ATC Squadron or unit.
Reason
The current definition is not consistent with Clause 7.9 of the Constitution which provides more detail about the establishment of a Branch.
There is no provision in the Constitution enabling or requiring Branches to be responsible for administering the needs of ATC Squadrons or units.
Construct
The proposed definition is constructed along the same lines as the definition of the National Council which reads: “National Council” means the body appointed pursuant to this constitution to enact Rules and approve policies for the Association.
RNZAF Base Ohakea have reserved 50 rooms on Base for our National Council AGM attendees. This is the maximum the Base can make available to us.

Friday departing Palmerston North following the arrival of JQ383 at 1135 - 5 pax
Friday departing Palmerston North following the arrival of NZ5123 at 2010 - 3 pax
Saturday departing Ohakea to check in at 1930 - 1 pax
Sunday departing Ohakea Officers Mess at 0730
As of 0900 Friday the 10th of May RNZAF Base Ohakea have been advised of our accommodation needs so no further RNZAF accommodation bookings will be possible. Delegates and Observers who have not already completed an Accommodation and Travel Requrements form may still attend the National Council AGM but will need to make their own accommodation arrangements. In order to get onto the Base it will be necessary to have security clearance. To facilitate this please email the General Secretary with your name, address and contact phone number.
Districts and Branches may each send one Delegate and one or more Observers.
As agreed at the last National Council AGM, the 2018 Branch Contact Grant of $12,250 will be available to support travel to the meeting this year for one representative from each District and each Branch on a pro rata basis. Posted 15 April 2019
